KART INFO
Our series uses Twin Engine Endurance Chassis from a variety of manufacturers. Engines are Honda GX200’s and are purchased sealed and race-ready and are unable to be modified, to ensure consistent performance. Other ‘control’ components include Exhausts, Carburettors and Clutches to ensure parity and contain costs for competitors.
Chassis
Chassis choice is open. Chassis must be twin-engine configuration (an engine mounts to each side) and meet requirements as detailed in the SEK Regulations.

Engines
Honda GX200 Engines are the only engines currently eligible for use in SEK Competition. Engines for the SEK series (both QLD and NSW) are purchased as a sealed component, prepared by SEK’s authorised agent to race-ready specifications.
The Honda GX200 engine is exceptionally reliable and is the most common and widely used engine used in Endurance Karting Worldwide. It is durable, easy to maintain and low cost, we’ve had engines running in SEK events that have been used for over 5 full seasons of racing.

Clutches
SEK Competition requires the use of Noram GE air-cooled centrifugal clutches (one for each engine).

Exhausts
SEK competition currently has 2 type of exhausts permited for competition; however, from 2026 only the ‘new type’ exhaust will be permitted in competition. Both exhausts exhibit similar performance.
Exhausts are a control component designed to ensure maximum longevity, parity of performance and containment of costs. Exhausts may be purchased directly through SEK QLD or SEK NSW
Tyres
SEK QLD and NSW use the Dunlop SL1 Slick tyre for dry use. These tyres are the only slick tyre eligible for use in SEK events.
Dunlop KT12 tyres are the control tyre for use in wet conditions during SEK QLD Competition.
